65 inches is long for a reason — a longer ramp means a shallower angle, which matters if your dog has joint pain or is easing back into activity after surgery. Measure the height from the ground to your trunk, tailgate or back seat before ordering; at 65 inches this suits most SUVs and trucks, but check against a very tall vehicle.

Introduce it gradually. Most dogs need a few short, treat-encouraged sessions before they'll walk a ramp confidently — don't expect them to use it on the first try.
