The supplier hasn't given us a maximum dog weight for this leash, which is normally the deciding spec for a retractable. We've asked and will add it here — until then, we'd treat this as suited to small and medium dogs rather than something to test on a large, strong puller.

What it isn't

Not the leash for a dog still learning not to pull — retractables give slack that makes lunging worse, not better. A fixed-length leash and some training time is the better starting point for that.
